New Gear.
Old Soul.

New Gear, stocked deep — picked by people who use it.
We don't carry everything. We carry the right stuff. If we wouldn't take it into the woods or out on the lake ourselves, it doesn't hit the floor.

Ready for opening dayOld soul.
New hands.
Same Hilltop.
Hilltop Sports has been a Greenville staple since 1989. Derek and Ashley took it over in 2022 and brought it back to life — same name, same hometown shop, with new energy behind the counter and the gear to match. That's the old soul, in new hands.
The new gear is everything they've brought in since. We're not a chain — there's no buyer in a corporate office picking what hits our shelves. The latest bows, optics, electronics and ammunition get chosen by people who actually tag out across Kent, Montcalm, Ionia and surrounding counties, fish the inland lakes, and run downriggers on Lake Michigan in July. It's all restocked season after season, so nothing you're looking at is last year's leftovers.
The edge over a big-box store isn't price tricks — it's that we'll actually sit down, ask what you're after, and put the right gear in your hands. We pair old know-how with new gear, and we'll still be here next season to back it up.
Don't take our word for it.
"Finally a gun shop where they actually know their stuff and take the time to help — got my CPL here too. Won't go anywhere else."
"Brought my bow in for a tune and it was shooting bullet holes before I left. Beats driving to the city and waiting a week."
"Family-owned and it shows. They beat the big-box price and threw in real advice you can't get off a shelf."
Bring it in. We'll fix it, fletch it, and sight it in.
A real service department the big-box stores can't match — bow setups, tuning, scope mounting, and rifle zeroing, dialed in by our own techs on our own bench.

Best way to see what we carry is to walk the floor. We're one of West Michigan's only true four-season outfitters — hunting, fishing and archery under one roof, and people behind the counter who actually use the gear they sell.
